Tiny promptfic fest

It feels like everybody I know is working their butts off on some huge ficathon or other and feeling that mid-huge-project itch. This is just a little party to leave prompts, request fic, write stuff, and roll around and squee without it needing to be super polished and without having to attach your name to it.

I also want to nod to OMGCP Heartbreak Fest, which is taking prompts right now. We don't want to steal from their pool of prompts, but if you come up with a really juicy angsty prompt, consider dropping it there instead!

In case no one's ever done this before:

• Prompts should be OMGCP-centered. They don't need to feature Kent Parson, but they can't bash him. (Acknowledging his character flaws is different than bashing him)


• Post prompts as replies to this post. The subject line should follow the format: Character/character, brief prompt. You can expand on the prompt (please less than 300 words) in the comment itself.


• Post prompt fills as replies to that comment. Fills can be anything--fic, art, meta, filk, fanmixes, moodboards, fiber arts, you name it. Please link to NSFW images or videos instead of embedding them.


• Do not hijack a prompt. Please post your own if something within a prompt inspires you in a different direction


• Multiple people can fill a prompt. You can fill your own prompt. You can post your fills wherever you want. You can do this anonymously or under your own name.


• This is a kink-friendly, non-judgmental, Parse-positive space, and it's actively moderated so don't be an ass.


• Please warn for for common triggers or squicks (RPF, NSFW, noncon, dubcon, character death, underage--comment if there's something you want added to this list) or include "Choose Not to Warn" in your comment subject.

Kent/Anybody, BPD and resentment

It starts out subtle. He thinks nothing of it when their smile doesn’t warm his heart like it used to. He feels his stomach bottom out when he catches himself thinking about leaving them for good. The worst part is, he knows he wouldn’t miss them.

This draws heavily from my own experience of splitting, but I have PTSD, not BPD so I hope this is still close to what you were looking for. ~Kieran

It'll come back, he keeps telling himself. It'll come back. It has to. You can't love somebody like I loved him--
Loved him?
No, start over, you can't love somebody like I love him and have it all just go away like it was never there, like this is some stranger off the street, that's not how it works.
His mother always said love doesn't go away, it just changes. That how she loved his father when they first fell in love was different from how she loved him when they got married, and different again from how she loves him now, but it's still love, is the thing.
What if he ends it and that's when it comes back, with all the intensity it ever had, what if he ruins another good thing, like he does everything in his life, and it's all for nothing?
Because he knows shit like that has happened before, how easy it is to go from loving someone to hating them and back again, and how does he know the difference between a feeling to tough out and a feeling to listen to?
But the longer he goes pretending this isn't happening, faking being too tired and busy to be romantic, the longer he doesn't end things cleanly, the more likely he is to snap and burn everything down around him, give voice to every uncharitable thought to cross his mind, ruin his relationship beyond repair.
And what if it doesn't come back?
